Samsung has introduced a brand new 2-in-1 tablet called Galaxy TabPro S powered by Microsoft’s Windows 10 OS. This device is believed to give tough competition to rivals like Surface Pro 4 and iPad Pro.

The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S features a humongous 12-inch Super AMOLED display bundled with 2,160 x 1,440 pixels screen resolution. This business-focused slate will double as a device for entertainment and gaming as well. As Samsung Mobile Press puts it, the TabPro S can be used to improve “productivity at home, in the office, or on-the-go.”

Speaking of software, Samsung has ditched the Android OS for full PC functionality from Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro for business. It supports LTE Cat. 6 connectivity and comes packed with a killer 5,200 mAh battery cell.

The device has a fast charging mechanism on board the battery unit that will be able to charge to full capacity in just 2.5 hours, thereby offering a battery life of up to 10.5 hours. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the latest Intel Core M chip with a dual-core processor running at 2.2 GHz and comes backed by a solid 4GB of RAM. This processor configuration does not need an internal fan to cool off the hardware modules.

When it comes to camera configuration, Samsung has housed a 5 MP sensor at the front and the back of the slate. The Galaxy TabPro S will come with two internal storage choices of 128GB and 256GB.

The keyboard apparently comes with a flexible hinge to offer impressive dual-angle viewing. Plus, there is a Pogo pin on the keyboard that ultimately eliminates the need to pair or charge it separately.

Samsung also offers a multi-port adapter to support HDMI, USB Type A and C connections along with a Bluetooth Pen. They can be purchased separately. The TabPro S will reportedly hit the store shelves in February.
