Samsung will pay up to US$120 (AU$170.90) to buyers of its Galaxy S6 and Note 5 units. Under a new promotional gimmick, the company will pay the rest of a buyer’s monthly payments for a new Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ or Galaxy Note 5 bought this year. A buyer stands to get up to US$120 (AU$170.90) off on the price of these devices.

Last month, Samsung initiated an offer that lures iPhone users to give up their devices for the Galaxy Note 5 or S6 edge. The strategy, dubbed the “Ultimate Test Drive,” allows iPhone owners to try out Samsung’s newest gadgets for 30 days for just US$1 (AU$1.42). Apple, however, has remained unbeatable, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Under its new promotion, “Phone Payments On Us Until 2016,” Samsung will pay a buyer’s monthly phone bill for the next three months. As part of its goal of beating iPhone sales, Samsung is asking iPhone users to pre-register by offering a US$100 (AU$142.42) reward on Google Play for trade-ins of Apple’s smartphones. The credit can then be used to buy music, movies, games or any app on the app store.

Basically, the promotion is a Trade-in and Non-Trade-in offer. In the Trade-in offer, an applicant must pre-register using his iPhone for the trade to occur. For the Non-Trade-in offer, however, the applicant should lease or purchase a Samsung device on an installment plan. Both offers are available from Sept. 25 through Oct. 9. AT&T users, however, are n0t part of this promotion.

Apple devices eligible for the trade-ins are the 4s, 5, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus.
