In September 2012, the device was launched running Android 4.0 OS and the rumours about its update has circulated. Today, the update is real and users can obtain it using Over-the-Air process with Wi-Fi connection to their device. By going to the Settings > About Phone, a Software Update accesses the Jelly Bean content. But before any update must be made, it is recommended to backup first the data inside the device for safety reasons.

The update file has at least 370MB size and a pretty large OS upgrade released for Samsung Victory. It is not an official Sprint or Samsung upgrade, and downloading this Jelly Bean firmware version may cause the device to be bricked in a worst case scenario. Better to make the necessary backup apps and maybe use a ClockworkMod manager to protect the original ROM for restoration purposes just in case the update version does not work.
