Australian telecommunications companies including Telstra, Optus, Virgin Mobile and Vodafone start taking pre-orders of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Both the variants will go on sale on March 11.

Telstra

Telstra has put up a basic plan with 1GB of data starting from $79 per month for the Galaxy S7 and $86 per month for the Galaxy S7 Edge. The minimum term for the said plan is 24 months. Other plans for the Galaxy S7 offered by the carrier include $84 per month with 2.5GB of daya, $99 with 6GB of data and unlimited talk time and $135 with 15GB of data.

Optus

On Optus both the handsets are available in Balck, Silver and Gold colour variants. Based on a minimum monthly plan of $40, customers can grab a Galaxy S7 from $64 per month which includes $24 per month handset repayment and a Galaxy S7 Edge from $71 per month including $31 per month as handset repayment.

This plan includes 500MB data and unlimited talk time. The carrier will also offer a free Gear VR headset.

Virgin Mobile

On Virgin Mobile, the lowest tariff for Galaxy S7 starts from $60 per month total repayment and $65 per month on the Galaxy S7 Edge. Virgin Mobile’s most basic plan comes with 300MB of data. Customers placing order on or before March 10 can only get the free Samsung Gear VR, confirmed Virgin Mobile on its official website. Shipping starts on March 11.

Vodafone

Customers can pre-order a new Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge through the official page of Vodafone Australia. The cheapest plan offered by the carrier is a $77 per month total repayment on the 32GB Galaxy S7 over 24 months. Customers can avail the Galaxy S7 Edge at $83 per month Vodafone’s minimum plan plan with 500MB of data.

The Galaxy S7 smartphone features a 5.1-inch display while the curved S7 Edge sports a 5.5.-inch display. Both the smartphones tout Quad HD Super AMOLED displays with 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution.

Other Galaxy S7 specs include Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8 Octa processor depending on the region, 4GB of RAM with either 32GB or 64GB of in-built storage and a 12MP main camera.

However, the most important highlights of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are completely watreproof design, expandable storage and upgraded battery capacities.

For those who wish to buy outright, Galaxy S7 price starts at $1,149 and the Galaxy S7 Edge will cost you $1,249.
