Just as Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s have been ramping up details and predictions - the same goes for its rival Samsung. According to expectations, Samsung should be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note 5 next. Likewise, the company hinted previously that it's taking a revolutionary approach on its next smartphones on top of new details suggesting Samsung will be going for a radical design and 4K display. Which is which?

Many believe that the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series are both crucial to Samsung's market position. The question now is whether what Samsung got up its sleeves including the release date. One thing is for sure, the Korean tech giant is working on more ways to amp up features of its devices especuallt the screen.

In recent confirmation by Samsung, the company claimed through its Analyst Days presentation slides that it has been working on Ultra HD 2160 x 3840 pixels Super AMOLED displays. The technology should find its way to firm's mobile phones this 2015. Likewise, Samsung also reportedly gave hints on higher-resolution UHD smartphone displays up in the works. The company noted the resolutions along with the term "diamond pixel." This may refer to a fancier way of refrring to a non-standard pixel matrix arrangement similar to PenTile as opposed to the usual RGB stripe matrix.

This also raises concerns whether the upcoming devices could either battle it out with Apple's expected iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s. Samsung has not provided the finals of the mentioned phones yet. There are also speculations about Apple pushing the iPhone 7 release to 2016 but the company did not provide any details about it yet. Previously, Samsung did say that it will be adopting a similar design approach to the Galaxy Note 5 as with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. People will have to stay turned for further announcements and final specs.
