The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users in the UK and South Korea are able to enjoy the Android 6.0 Marshmallow experience because Samsung had exclusively launched Android 6.0 beta update testing program in these regions. Multiple screenshots of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge running beta edition of Android 6.0 have now surfaced, showing what worldwide users of Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, S6 Edge and S6 can expect for the upcoming Android M.

Several screenshots of Android 6.0 running on Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been revealed by Sam Mobile. The publication has reported that the beta version was exclusively made available for S6 and S6 Edge owners who had registered for the beta version testing program. However, the beta program is currently not accepting new registration.

The Android 6.0 update mainly brings changes to the user interface. The Status bar as well as Quick Toggles do not sport the blue colour anymore, but it is now available in white. The 3D appearance of the icons have been removed to sport a flat design.

Users will now have the power to customize the look of icons and menus through different coloured themes. Such customizable themes can be availed from the Theme Store. The power menu has a redesigned appeal.

The Pro Mode on the Camera app now features a new option for shutter speed. The app drawer is now merged with the TouchWiz launcher. Apart from improvements by Samsung, the Android 6.0 update also brings new native features such as Google on Tap, improved app permission system and Doze Mode for extended battery performance.

After receiving feedback from beta users, Samsung will make the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade available for other Samsung smartphones and tablets. Soon, the update will hit the first batch Android 6.0 upgradable devices like Note 5, S6 Edge+, Tab S2, Note 4, S5, Galaxy Alpha, A7 and A8.
