Samsung Galaxy S6 has not been officially revealed to the general public yet but Samsung has reportedly showcased the device to select partners during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015. New details of the Galaxy S6 have arrived that indicates the Galaxy S6 release date is approaching soon.

According to Android Pit, two variations of the Galaxy S6 are in the works with Samsung. The first one is expected to sport a metal unibody whereas the other Galaxy S6 variant will also feature metal but the entire body will not be made up of metal as it will come with removable plastic panel in the rear.

Android Pit adds that the metal-clad Samsung Galaxy S6 edition was revealed at CES. If Samsung launches the Galaxy S6 with metal body, it will come with a non-removable battery. Almost all the previously released Galaxy devices come with removable battery. Android Pit is skeptical about such an approach from Samsung.

Galaxy S6 users will be able to personalize their handsets by taking advantage of the new "Theme Store" service. By using this service, users will be to purchase themes from the store or even create one on their own. Samsung is also rumoured to launch the Galaxy S6 with an updated and smoother TouchWiz UI.

Talking about the Galaxy S6 unveil for select partners during CES, Android Pit says that it is a general practice to showcase new products to industry experts for seeking opinions before they are finally launched in the market. Android Pit adds that this is an indication about the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date is drawing near. The Galaxy S4 was released in April 2014 and its successor model was launched in April 2014. It seems that the Galaxy S6 is posed to get unleashed in April this year. The source says that it is the very first official confirmation on the existence of the device. It is not known whether the Galaxy S6 Edge was also revealed to the industry experts at CES.

GSMArena states that the Galaxy S6 will feature a Quad HD 5.5-inch display powered with an Exynos 7420 octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, native storage of 32 GB, 20.7 MP rear panel shooter and 5 MP frontal camera. Fingerprint scanner, ultraviolet sensor, rapid charging and unidirectional microphones are some of the features that are expected to come with Galaxy S6, Android Pit.
