Samsung Galaxy S6 appears to be the mobile device to get another software update following the Android 5.1.1 rollout. According to recent information, a new update has appeared in France with build number G920FXXU2BOG8. What could this update be for?

Information came from one of SamMobile's Twitter followers. According to the tip, the update requires around 230 MB. However, Samsung was very vague on what the new firmware is and the possible changes it could bring. Speculations are rife that it is a fix to solve problems associated with the Android 5.1.1 update.

Throughout the past weeks, battery life has reportedly become a major or pressing problem for many Android users, specifically of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, after the Android 5.1.1 update. There are high hopes that the new mystery software will solve the issue once and for all.

The update is not yet available on Kies or other regions but as with other rollouts, it should be just a matter of time before it shows up on other users. For those unable to wait, checking the setting manually is also an option. To do this, open Setting > About Device > Software updates menu. Samsung has not released any more official statements about the update, so users are advised to stay tuned.

Meanwhile, along with the new update, T-Mobile joins the list of carriers releasing more updates to its Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge units. The new update promises battery life improvements, although it is not clear at this time whether the release has something to do with the one spotted in France. According to T-Mobile, the update also brings a range of bug fixes and enhancements, but further details were not disclosed. Requirements for the update include:

· 50 percent or higher battery life
· Data connection
· File size: OCG to OF8 = 631.03 MB (Wi-Fi required), OF6 to OF8 = 102.89 MB (Data network or Wi-Fi)
