Samsung is going to launch an Iron Man variant of its Galaxy S6 Edge pretty soon. A social media post from Samsung Electronics’ official Twitter account gave the public a sneak peak of what seemed to be a box of a limited edition smartphone.

However, no official release date for this special unit has been provided. The only detail given is that it is “coming soon.” The tweet from the Samsung’s Twitter page came shortly after Korea Herald reported that such themed smartphone was going to be launched in a couple of weeks.
Although it looks like an Iron Man device is the first superhero-themed smartphone to be announced this year, it remains unclear whether he will be the only character to be emblazoned on a Galaxy S6 Edge unit. It is highly likely that making more units based on other Marvel characters will be determined by how well the Iron Man variant does in the market.
Moreover, the only image as of the moment is related to this much talked about product is its box. No details regarding how or what the Iron Man variant will look like have been provided – which further adds to the excitement of the Marvel superhero’s fans.
Forbes reported that Samsung is also presently offering an “Avengers: Age of Ultron” theme for the regular Galaxy S6. Hence, the device may have specially themed lock screens, icons and wallpapers.
Furthermore, CNET reported that Marvel and the Korean tech giant have actually been pretty comfortable with one another of late. There were some limited edition “Avengers” cases for the Galaxy Note 4, and Gear VR users also have access to a “Battle for the Avengers Tower” experience.
“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” is still in its third week at the box office, which means that Samsung might decide to launch more superhero-themed devices sooner rather than later. Moreover, delaying the distribution of this potentially lucrative concept could result in the public losing interest.
