Although the Samsung Galaxy S5 is a new smartphone, it is pretty familiar in a myriad of ways. First, aside from the perforated back texture, the look of the device is very similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S4. In terms of software, the two devices are unmistakably similar too.

As it appears, these two Samsung flagships not only have good features in common, they also share the worst feature. Before you hit the store and buy the new Samsung Galaxy S5, you need to know this.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S5 feels cheap. Samsung uses plastics that feel toy-like and flimsy unlike its competitors that use premium materials on their flagship phones. Plastic is not inherently cheap looking on smartphones as Nokia has shown that a plastic device can still feel and look premium but Samsung smartphones just do not feel premium at all.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the latest example to this issue. The device features a textured back pattern, which the South Korean tech giant refers to as "modern glam look."

In terms of design, there is plenty of room for argument as design is a matter of opinion. But, although there are millions of people who like the look of the Samsung Galaxy S5, no one would argue that it is as premium as the HTC One (M8) or the iPhone 5s.

Rumours suggest that Samsung is preparing to launch a smartphone with premium design this year, and undoubtedly, that is not the Samsung Galaxy S5, which recently launched.

According to HDBlog.it, the premium Galaxy S5 could be the device that the Twitter user WindyLeak posted. The anonymous user posted two photos of a Samsung smartphone with a quad HD display but he did not specifically referred to the device as the premium Galaxy S5.

The metal smartphone from Samsung might still be on its way and if you wish to have a smartphone with a premium body, then it might be best to postpone buying and wait for the premium device.
