Reports are floating around the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow will soon be rolled out to the Samsung Tab 5, Galaxy 5, S5 and Alpha. Many Galaxy devices have gotten the updates after the release of Android Marshmallow on Sept. 29, and the most recent ones are the devices previously mentioned, reports China Topix.

Recently, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ were to receive the latest update in December but owing to some reasons, the updates were postponed to January 2016. Other handsets waiting in queue for updates are Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3, Galaxy E7, Galaxy E5, Galaxy J5, Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J2.

You’ll have to wait for the Galaxy A8 to receive update approval in March 2016, but the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has been approved the Android Marshmallow update from April 2016. Since update news is in for Galaxy 5, Tab A, S5 and Alpha, let’s summarize the most significant features of the handsets.

Galaxy 5

You’ll marvel at its display size of 5.7-inches; its super AMOLED technology and its capacitive touchscreen that offers a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Powered by the Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801, the phone also has a quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor. The smartphone comes with a TFT capacitive touchscreen packed with 768 x 1024 pixels resolutions. It runs on a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. It has a powerful 5MP primary camera along with a 2MP front-facing camera. Powered by a non-removable Li-ion 6000 mAH battery, the smartphone gives you long life.

Galaxy S5

Launched in April, 2014, the Galaxy S5 has a 5.10-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 432 pixels per inch. Integrated with 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos Octa 542o, the phone runs on 2GB RAM. Internal storage capacity is 16 GB, which is expandable up to 128 GB. The primary camera comes is a 16MP, while the front-facing camera has 2.1MP.

Alpha

The phone’s display is a super AMOLED loaded with 720 x 1280 pixels. It runs on a quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A15 processor. The primary camera is a 12MP and the front camera is a 2.1MP.
