Nokia officially made a durability comparison between their Lumia 920 smart phones to the Samsung Galaxy S3 in an exceptional challenge. The video created shows which smart phone can endure a fastball from a pitching machine in a bid to attract and convince consumers that the Nokia Lumia 920 has the real edge.

Nokia Lumia 920 sports a 4.5-inches screen size with 1280x768 pixel resolution. The features and specifications include 32GB of internal storage capacity, 1GB of RAM, 8-MP rear camera with 3264x2448 pixels with LED flash and a 2,000 mAh battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy S3 has been triumphantly compared with the Apple iPhone 5 but the tables have turned as Nokia took the matter on their own hands. At the "Nokia Lumia Pitching Machine Challenge" video, the Galaxy S3 back cover fell off and the screen was cracked after the fastball hit the device.

On the other hand, the Nokia Lumia 920 with the Windows Phone 8 operating system survived the durability test. The Lumia 920 was still video recording without any crack on the screen after the fastball impact.

YouTube viewers who have seen the video gave reactions and opinions on the "Nokia Lumia Pitching Machine Challenge." Username nardadarna1 exclaimed: "The Legacy of the indestructible Nokia 3310 still lives in Lumia 920!"

"I think the removable battery fell out of the SGS 3, as the back shell fell out. If the battery was put back in, I think the phone would have worked," another viewer, JLIT99, pointed out while username Dwayne Huibrechtse commented: "What awaste of time. Why in God's name would I allow such force to hit any electronics I own. Idiots."

"Dropped my Lumia on the street a good few times, apart from a few minor scratches on the housing it seems pretty much invulnerable," YouTube username Bas a shared.

"What will it take me to switch? A) Stronger Dev Support B) Apps! My s3 can multitask in a way this phone can only dream about. Since I won't be throwing 90mph fastballs at it, the durability side of it is not much of a concern! lol :P Looking towards s4 when releases too. Great phone (920) but Win8 needs more time to compete," viewer shnyguy wrote.
