Currently, a number of smartphones are getting their Android Lollipop updates. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is set to join the league as Verizon is now rolling out the OTA of version 5.0.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge was launched with Android 4.4.4 KitKat on board. In April, US Cellular already rolled Lollipop out for the Galaxy Note Edge along with Galaxy Note 4. Even T-Mobile released Lollipop update a while ago This update was due from Verizon..

The new over-the-air update is of software version LRX22C.N915VVRU2BOF2. It may take few days before the notification pops up. Such updates are generally released in phases, and it may take couple of days to reach all users. The update will include usual Lollipop features like Material Design makeover, quick settings, lock screen notifications, project VOLTA, general performance tweaks, and many more. This update also coincided with the release of Android 5.1 for the Motorola DROID Turbo on Verizon.

Verizon launched the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge back in January on its network. It is somewhat similar to Galaxy Note 4. A quad-HD display, impressive processor, and powerful camera make Samsung Galaxy Note Edge a great device.

With the curved-edge display it is definitely one of the most coveted innovative gadgets. Just like Note 4, however, it is expensive. According to Big Red, the update will need at least 50 per cent of battery on the handset and a good Wi-Fi connection to pull in the file.
