Consumers who do not have cold cash to buy Samsung’s flagship phone, Galaxy Note 7, resorting to post-paid plans will be the next option to buy the iris-scanning Android phone.

A pre-paid unlocked unit of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 cost $1,349 apiece. But Since Aug. 19, various telecom companies are selling the new Samsung Mobile smartphone through affordable 24-month post-paid plans.

A review of the existing post-paid plans for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 reveals that Virgin offers the cheapest phone plan at $67 monthly fee, but it only covers $300 worth of free calls and SMS per month and 300MB of mobile data. Meanwhile, Telstra offers the top-tier plan at $195 monthly fee, covering unlimited national calls and short messaging system (SMS) with 20GB of mobile data.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 specs

The new flagship phone of Samsung Mobile comes in four colour variants Dark Onyx Black, Chrome Silver Titanium, Shiny Gold Platinum and Blue Coral. The smarphone is equipped with a minimum of 64GB internal storage, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 3500mAh battery, a S Pen stylus, 12-megapixel f/1.7 dual-pixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera and a dedicated camera and LED light for its iris-scanning biometric security feature.

Built on 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, the waterproof and scratch-resistant Samsung Galaxy Note uses Gorilla Glass 5 and runs on Marshmallow version of Android.

Earlier, an executive of Samsung Mobile in South Korea confirmed that the company is considering selling higher capacity models of Galaxy Note 7 exclusively in China to compete with other Chinese-made mobile phones. (Click here for related story)
