Samsung’s new giant screen flagships - the stylus-toting Note 5 and curvy S6 Edge Plus - have arrived in Australia. Preorders are already available for the two handsets via the official Samsung Australia website from 4:00 pm on Tuesday Aug. 18. The actual release date to customers is pegged to be on Sep. 4.

Samsung unveiled the next generation of its flagship phones in New York at the Samsung Unpacked event earlier this August. Both smartphones feature a metal body with 5.7-inch display and 2560 x1440-pixel resolution (518 pixels per inch).

What differentiates the two flagships is the auto-ejectable stylus in the Note 5. Aesthetics-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus sports a more stylish curve to its build. Both smartphones sport an improved camera and fingerprint sensor.

The Edge Plus comes in two separate storage configurations (32GB and 64GB) and does not allow users to expand memory via microSD card slot like the Galaxy Note 5. The device will be available in black or white with a non-removable battery. Meanwhile, the Note 5 will be available in black or golden with Stylus Pen, reported Sydney Morning Herald. The Note 5 houses a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery.

The prices of the devices are revealed as well. The Galaxy Note 5 (32GB) will cost AU $1099. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus 32GB and 64Gb variants will be priced at AU $1199 and AU $1299, respectively.

Users who are planning to pair up their new devices to specific Australian carriers will have to wait, as Samsung has yet to announce offers and plans. Furthermore, the carrier offers and plans have yet to be revealed in Australia. Only Telstra confirmed that it will be offering both devices. As reported by CNET, Prasad Gokhale, vice president of IT and Mobile at Samsung Australia has confirmed that both phones would be offered across the full range of local telephone companies. Optus will be offering the 32GB variants of both Galaxy Note 5 and Edge Plus in Black. Vodafone will be offering the 32GB Note 5 Black.
