The Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the company’s phablet set to compete with the iPhone 6s Plus, is expected to launch this coming September at the annual IFA in Berlin. The Note 5’s release is expected to be similar with its predecessors. However, reports say that the company will bump the release into mid-August, to compete with Apple.

A couple of months before the expected launch date for the Galaxy Not 5, blog site Nowhereelse.fr received renders of the alleged Galaxy Note 5 design. The files came from a reliable source, but it isn’t certain whether or not the design is final.

According to the design, the device will have a metal case, but it will sport a glass cover on the back like the S6. It is said to measure 152.22 x 153.44 x 76.11 – 77.31 x 7.69 – 10,201 mm. Based on the device’s dimensions, the screen will is likely to measure 5.7 inches. The Note 5 looks just like the Galaxy S6, but it comes a lot larger and with a slot for the S-Pen stylus.

Rumors said that the Note 5 will have a super-high resolution, following its trend for having bright and colorful screens. Just last year, Samsung upped the ante with their S6 which sported 2,560 x 1,440 pixels; typically referred to as a 2K screen. SamMobile suggests that the Note 5 may also have a 2K screen but Samsung could likely bump it up to 4K.

A patent discovered by Patently Mobile showcased a new feature that may be added to the Note 5, or more possibly the Note 6. In a series of images, a device which looks like a Note and a stylus is shown. However, aside from the usual design which sees users sliding out the pen themselves, the smartphone can now auto-eject on a voice or gesture command.
