Apple's successful run with selling iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has not gone well with Samsung. With Galaxy S5 not making any noise after the initial flutter, the South Korean conglomerate is banking on the recently unveiled Galaxy Note 4. Without a doubt, the Note 4 has garnered great reviews and the phablet is considered as a worthy successor to the much-loved Note 3. In the meantime, to counter Apple, Samsung has shifted the launch date of its Galaxy Note 4 from October to September 26 in its home-country South Korea.

The 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 4 can be availed from three major carriers pertaining to South Korea namely SK Telecom, KT and Uplus. Despite the shift in release date, Samsung is not trying to hide the reason behind Note 4's early release. An executive from Samsung's marketing unit apparently quoted that the overwhelming customers' response to Apple iPhone 6 models motivated Samsung to release the Galaxy Note 4 prior to the actual schedule. This time around, the company will rely on aggressive marketing strategy to elevate the killer phablet despite the neck and neck competition, GSM Arena reports.

Apparently, the company has an estimation of selling 15 million Note 4 units within 30 days from the launch. Interestingly, Samsung has readied 3.75 million readily-available Galaxy Note 4 phablets targeting the entire weekend from the launch date. It is worth reminding that the South Korean conglomerate sold 10 million Galaxy Note 3 units within a span of two months from the launch in 2013. The aforementioned comparison clearly showcases the company's hunger for success and the promotions across the globe are going to be hard-hitting, nonetheless.

In spite of packing the Galaxy Note 4 with every possible feature and configuration under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the cheapest of all the predecessors. The quoted price of the Galaxy Note 4 is KRW 957,000 in South Korea that roughly translates to US$919 and AU$1038. Notably, the first Galaxy Note phablet sold for $960 as the starting price. Also, the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Note 3 were priced at $1038 and $1018, respectively.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Note 4 can now be pre-ordered in South Korea. When it comes to the U.S. markets, the phablet can be availed from AT&T and T-Mobile starting Oct. 14. In case of Europe, the Note 4 will set the buyers back by €699 and again the release date is pegged for early October. Nevertheless, Samsung has not confirmed if the launch date will be shifted back to September, similar to South Korea. In any case, we will keep you updated, if there is a change of plan from Samsung's end.
