Samsung users can now have access to a range of Android updates. The Korean tech giant has issued the Over-the-Air Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 4 whereas Sprint released the firmware to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note Edge. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users can also choose to update to Android 5.0.1 depending on carrier and region.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been treated with the Android 5.0.1 OTA update promising a range of new features and bug fixes. Although Samsung may not have gone all out on the last update but users can expect a range of improvements enhancing overall experience.

According to SamMobile, the persistent bug which has been forcing close error on the Contacts Apps has been resolved. Likewise, people can also expect the SideView Panel which is the company's version of Nexus' Pie Controls. The option offers two capacitive buttons: Back and Recent Apps. These also come with the Home button on the screen allowing people to use the device better with one hand.

Other changes include Mute Feature when vibrate and tweaks on the notification selection mode. Samsung also introduces the new Do Not Disturb mode in place of the All/Priority Only/No notifications.

As for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note Edge, Sprint users can now access the update via OTA. Sprint has updated its Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note Edge support pages respectively. Note 3 users can expect the standard features of the Android 5.0 Lollipop whereas the Note Edge comes with the following: Wi-Fi Calling enhancements and Factory Reset Protection. As for Galaxy Note 2 users, they can choose to update toe Android 5.1 via a new CM12.1 Custom ROM from the CyanogedMod team. Users are required to flash devices before they can run the ROM.
