The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available in two chipset variants, Snapdragon 805 chipset and Exynos 7 Octa-core chipset. The Snapdragon 805 chipset is manufactured by Qualcomm and the Exynos chipset is a product from Samsung. In the US, carriers are offering the Snapdragon edition whereas the Exynos model is aimed towards markets like Europe, Asia and Latin America.

CPU benchmarks

The Snapdragon 805 chipset is available on the SM-N910S model. It features a quad-core Krait 450 processor that delivers a clocking speed of 2.7 GHz. On the other hand, the Exynos 5433 chipset powers the handset with the model number SM-N910C. It is an octa-core processor that features quad-core Cortex A53 processor that clocks at 1.3 GHz and another quad-core Cortex A57 processor that delivers a clocking speed.

According to PhoneArena, the Galaxy Note 4 with Snapdragon 805 SoC produced higher scores on AnTuTu single and multiple cores tests. However, on other benchmark tests from Geekbench, PC Mark, and Vellamo, Exynos model produced higher results.

GPU Benchmarks

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC features Adreno 420 graphics and the Exynos 7 octa-core variant features Mali-T760 graphics. Graphics tests performed through GFX Bench, AnTuTu 3D, Basemark, and 3D Mark Ice Store Unlimited on both the chipset variants of Galaxy Note 4 showed that the Snapdragon 805 managed to outperform the Exynos chipset in all the tests.

RAM And Storage Benchmarks

The Snapdragon and the Exynos model feature 3GB of RAM. Both the devices are available in a single storage variant of 32 GB. The benchmark tests carried out on the RAM of both the chipset variant of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 indicates that the RAM present inside the Exynos edition performed faster as compared to the Snapdragon model. PhoneArena states that there is not much a difference in the performance of onboard storage of both the devices.

Internet Benchmarks

It is not easy to decide which one of the two models of the Galaxy Note 4 offers intuitive and faster internet performance. On Vellamo and AnTuTu HTML5 tests, the Exynos model managed to score higher points. On the other hand, Basemark and Sunspider internet benchmarks showed that Snapdragon model offers faster web browsing performance through its stock browser.
