Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo users in UK, France and The Netherlands will receive the Android Lollipop software update. Samsung UK confirmed the new Android OS and encourages users to constantly check manually to receive the update.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Users In United Kingdom To Receive Android Lollipop

United Kingdom users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo will receive the Android Lollipop software upgrade. It has been confirmed by Samsung UK via Twitter after someone inquired about the update. In addition, Samsung UK encouraged the user to check the device manually to determine if the new software is available.

Reports from SamMobile confirmed that the Android Lollipop for the device is not limited in UK alone. Other European territories are also receiving the new software including France and The Netherlands. Android Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Duos is still waiting for official announcement.

How To Update Your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo

Android devices from Samsung can be updated in two different ways – Samsung Kies or via built-in software update feature on the device. For manual software update on the device, go to Settings > General > About Device. For Samsung Kies PC Suite, follow the instructions below:

  1. Download the Samsung Kies on the computer from the official website. There are two versions for Windows depending on the device needed to be updated and one for Mac computers.
  2. After downloading the installer, launch it to begin installation.
  3. Launch the Samsung Kies PC Suite then plug in the device using a USB cable. The machine will automatically install all necessary drivers to communicate with the smartphone.
  4. Samsung Kies will begin checking for the latest software once the device is properly connected. Internet connection is required.
  5. Once the new software is found, follow the instructions provided by Samsung Kies to install the new Android version.
