Samsung has been working on rolling out the Android KitKat updates for the past few months. For those still waiting on word about the Android 4.4.2 and Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates on their devices, new information suggests that Samsung will be extending the updates further to devices like the Galaxy Note 2, Note 2 LTE, Galaxu S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Mini, S4 Mini Duos, Galaxy Note 3 and LTE among others.

Other devices joining the lineup include the Galaxy Grand 2 and Galaxy Grand 2 Duos. French carrier, SFR, went ahead with three Android releases according to The Fuse Joplin. These include: Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Android 4.4.4 KitKAt for Galaxy Note 4 and Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Glaaxy S4 Mini.

Android Origin noted that so far the Galaxy Note 4 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update has been observed across. There were previous reports about the imminent release of the updates across carriers and devices especially following the document leak. Previously, the leak noted the release of the update this November for several devices including the rest of the Samsung units aside from the Galaxy Note 3 and two Samsung Galaxy S5 versions. These devices include:

  • Galaxy Note 3 LTE
  • Galaxy S4
  • Galaxy S4 LTE
  • Galaxy Note 3 Neo
  • Galaxy S4 Mini Duos
  • Galaxy S4 Mini
  • Galaxy Grand 2 Duos
  • Galaxy Grand 2
  • Galaxy Note 2
  • Galaxy Note 2 LTE

Techno Buffalo also reported about the Android 4.4.4 KitKat reaching the original Moto G in the United States four months following the release in United Kingdom. HTC also announced via its Twitter before October ended that the fourth Android KitKat installment will be arriving to the HTC M8. Those in line are Verizon and T-Mobile users. People will have to wait for official announcement from Samsung and other carriers to know when the software will hit units this November.

Google already released the Android 5.0 Lollipop recently with reports noting the radical but fresh design of the platform.
