Samsung has been churning out quite a lot of devices this year, with Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy K Zoom, Galaxy Tab S and Galaxy S5 Mini leading the way. In addition to the list above, Samsung unveiled four new Galaxy series of phones this week namely Galaxy Core 2, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Young 2 and Galaxy Star 2.

Furthermore, the upcoming devices from the South Korean conglomerate include Samsung Galaxy Mega 2, Galaxy S5 Prime (also known as Galaxy F), Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5 Sport, and Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition. The handset in focus, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 release date is not known right now, however, full specification list of this Mega phablet has been revealed in benchmark testing via GFXbench.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is considered as the successor of the Galaxy Mega 5.8. The Galaxy Mega 2 specifications include a gigantic 5.9 inches display bundled with 1,280 x 720 pixels HD screen resolution. The handset will be powered by a 64-bit quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz along with Adreno 306 GPU, according to GFXbench.

The phone will run on Google's Android OS v4.4.3. The Galaxy Mega 2 will house a good 2 GB of RAM and it comes with 8 GB of internal storage capacity, with microSD card support for expansion up to 64 GB. The camera specifications include a 12 MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 4.7 MP front-facing camera unit. Moreover, the Mega 2 camera has the ability to record full HD videos but there is no HDR.

The benchmark leak also listed down Bluetooth, accelerometer, compass, GPS, gyroscope, light sensor, NFC, proximity sensor and Wi-Fi as some of the salient features of Galaxy Mega 2. However, there is no official information on the release date or the price of this gigantic phablet from Samsung. With Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini's launch this week, the realistic Galaxy Mega 2 release date would be Q3 2014.
