The enhanced version of the Galaxy A9 (2016), the Galaxy A9 Pro with model number- SM-A9100, was spotted on Zauba, India’s import-export tracking website, last week. Now the smartphone has appeared on benchmarking site GFXBench, revealing its key specs and features.

The GFXBench databases show the device will come with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which contradicts the Zauba listing that mentioned a reasonable 6-inch display. The regular Galaxy A9 (2016) features a 6-inch Full HD display screen.

Earlier speculations had suggested that as an enhanced version, the Galaxy A9 Pro will boast a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

According to the benchmark listing, the device will come packed with a massive 4GB of RAM - a notable upgrade from the standard Galaxy A9 (2016), which features a 3 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy A9 Pro will be powered by the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, as compared to the Galaxy A9 (2016) which is shipped with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system onboard.

The GFXBench also reveals that the Galaxy A9 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm 1.8GHz octa-core chipset with Cortex-A72 cores and an Adreno 510 GPU. The processor could likely be the Snapdragon 652, reports GSM Arena.

In the photography department, the enhanced Galaxy A9 Pro was spotted on the benchmarking site with a 15-megapixel main camera with LED flash, face detection and auto-focus. There will also be a 7MP front camera capable of recording Full HD videos.

The Galaxy A9 (2016) has a 13MP primary camera equipped with optical image stabilisation coupled with an 8 MP front-facing snapper. There is a huge 4000 mAh battery to juice up the smartphone.

The enhanced version of the Galaxy A9 (2016) is also expected to feature a fingerprint scanner like the regular version. The Galaxy A9 Pro may come with support for NFC (Near Field Communication).
