As part of the Galaxy A series of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A7 has been in-and-out of the rumour mill for quite some time now. In fact, the mid-range Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are on sale via Expansys in the U.S. But now, the bigger Galaxy A7's catalogue has been leaked from South Korea. This leak reveals the key specifications and launch date of the handset.

In addition to the Galaxy A7, the same leak also showcases the "Galaxy Grand Max" smartphone. The key Samsung Galaxy A7 features include a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display, complemented by a screen resolution of 1080p. Under the hood, the handset will reportedly be powered by a 64-bit, octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 615) processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz and backed by a good 2 GB of RAM. When it comes to operating system, the phone will run on Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS, according to GSM Arena.

Moreover, there will be a 13 MP rear-facing camera unit and a 5 MP front-facing snapper for selfies. As far as the memory goes, the device will reportedly come equipped with 16 GB of internal storage capacity. Speaking of size, the handset will be 6.3 mm thick and will weigh 140 g. Apart from the standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the phone will also support GPS and LTE. Lastly, the Galaxy A7 will reportedly come housed with 2,500 mAh battery unit.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max will reportedly come with a 5.2-inch LCD display and 720p screen resolution, 13 MP primary camera unit and 5 MP secondary shooter. In addition, the device will house a quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz, along with 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of built-in storage with microSD card support and a 2,500 mAh battery unit. Also, the device will reportedly run on Android v4.4 KitKat and will support LTE.

Furthermore, the Galaxy A7 launch date is slated for Jan. 14, 2015, according to a Korean website Ruliweb via Phone Arena.
