Samsung has been pressured to hold its ground with Apple's iPhone 6 breaking records and the iPhone 6 Plus garnering praises for its display. Amidst the Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 battle, there is another Samsung device gaining attention: Galaxy A5.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha made up for the disappointments related to the Galaxy S5. Since its release, the market has been on the lookout for what the Korean tech giant will come up for its latest series. SamMobile, in an exclusive report, confirmed that there will be three devices under the lineup. The first of which is the SM-A500 verified to launch as Galaxy A5.

The device is not as premium according to the report but targeting the mid-range sector can still be a threat to the iPhone 6 according to analysts. People will still be mindful of the price and a new Samsung device may do the trick.

The device will sport a material that "feels cold in the hand" but it is not clear what specific component it is. While metal may be a shoo-in because of the "cold" feel upon contact, there is still a possibility that Samsung may use another type of material.

Reported features include: 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 400 processor, 13-megapixel camera, 5-megapixel front camera, 16GB expandable storage and TouchWiz system similar to the Galaxy Note 4.

NDTV also reported another Samsung A device to launch soon: the SM-A300. The device surfaced on an official user agent (UA) profile listing. It went by the name SM-A300F. Reports suggest it will likely be named Samsung Galaxy A3 upon release.

Reported features include 4.8-inch QHD display opffering 540x960 pixels, 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz instead of 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Samsung has not release an official announcement yet.
