Sam Smith may have written a soulful song about his experience of unrequited love, but he is currently now happy and back in the dating game. The 22-year old chart-topper is said to be dating a music video extra.

"Stay with Me" singer Sam Smith jumpstart his musical career with an album detailing his sad experiences on love, especially about having his heart broken by a man who did not have the same feelings as him. His first album, "In the Lonely Hour," was successful with the soulful and relatable songs. His heart is now recovering though, as he admits he is now back in the dating game to the Sun. The crooner shared that he already has his eyes and heart set on a guy he met onset during the filming of the music video of his song "Like I Can," but he is not in a rush to take things further. He admits that he wants to take things slow because of his past experiences. "He's a nice guy. It's very early days, I'm talking very, very, very early days," Sam said.

Sam described the guy as being sweet. The guy is one of the 20 extras on the music video. He told The Sun, "It's a surreal thing to be talking about because I haven't even confirmed with him that we're officially seeing each other."

He added that since becoming a household name through his music, his life has become crazier. However, he clarified that he is getting happier and managing to take time to have a personal life. He said he already stopped over thinking. The success of his first album has erased all his sadness.

In his happier place, the crooner also managed to joke about his love life and his new record. Seeing how good his heartbreaks were for his debut album, Sam Smith told MTV News that he would try to fall in love again and get dumped so he could release a phenomenal record again. He also shared that he already started writing new songs and has a long of new ideas.
