"Victorious" fans clearly loved Ariana Grande's character, Cat, and her flowing red hair. However, the "The Way" singer admitted to never feeling happy with the hair colour or the show. Judging from Grande's latest statements, it's clear "Victorious" wasn't really an enjoyable place for the actress.

Ariana Grande's iconic red hair was her fashion statement for "Victorious." It was also thanks to the hair that fans remembered Grande's character, Cat. While the show has been loved by a lot, it wasn't really that much of a good memory for Grande.

"I worked with someone who told me they'd never like me," admitted Grande, adding, "But for some reason, I just felt like I needed her approval. So I started changing myself to please her. It made me stop being social and friendly. I was so unhappy."

Of course, fans of the show would know who Grande was referring to. Apart from being unhappy on the show, Grande wasn't really particularly pleased with the hair colour she had as Cat.

"For a few years, I really didn' feel like myself. I felt like I really had to compromise a lot because of my red hair for the show. I would never want to play Cat without red hair because it wouldn't be right, but when I'm Ariana I hate it!'" stated Jai Brooks' girlfriend.

Though, somehow the original red colour of Cat's hair still managed to be shown for the Nickelodeon series, "Sam & Cat."

"Not giving away any secrets, but thanks to the magic of Hollywood we worked it out so I could have my natural hair color when I wanted and red hair on shoot days. I'm more myself now and I think my fans have been able to see I'm more comfortable and happier!" exclaimed Grande.
