Salim Mehajer has been secretly filmed threatening an unnamed individual sexual violence. The controversial former Auburn deputy mayor is seen in the footage unleashing verbal attack on someone into his mobile phone while driving. He has also released a head-scratching motivational video starring himself.

In the footage obtained by “A Current Affair,” Mehajer, while driving, is seen arguing loudly with another person on his phone. He is heard screaming obscenities at the other person, telling the unspecified recipient, “I hope you die, you [censored].”

“A Current Affair” reporter Alison Piotrowski said Mehajer sent two video messages to a one person, in one of which he has threated “specific threats of sexual violence” to someone.

“I think he is in huge amount of trouble,” Piotrowski told the presenters of “Today” show on Monday. “Maybe not necessarily in his career in with regards to counselling … but in regards to his public image. This is the man who has tried to curate his life on camera.”

Mehajer, 30, is also facing inquiry regarding the corruption claims against him. In February, nine councillors, including Mehajer, were sacked.

Piotrowski continued, “This, I think, would bring him down.”

The reporter refused to name the other person in the call, saying details will be revealed in the program Monday night.

She described Mehajer as someone who loves being in the public eye, as evidenced by his before and after wedding videos, showing how he and now-estranged wife Aysha fell in love, and the most recent motivational video he has released.

The 2.5-minute motivational video, titled “Dream” and posted on Sunday, starts with Mehajer looking pensive while riding his white Ferrari. He proceeds to go about his day as a voiceover tells viewers to “dream.”

“Do you dream? Well let me tell you: If you don’t dream, then you’re setting yourself up for failure,” the voiceover says.
