Gia Allemand, 29, a Queens, N.Y. native and reality TV star, died Wednesday. Two days earlier, the beauty from "The Bachelor" and Maxim model was found hanging in her home in New Orleans by her boyfriend.

She was rushed to University Hospital in New Orleans on August 12 and was on life support. The doctors' findings were that Allemand suffered a "critical loss of brain and organ function," according to a statement from her family. There was no immediate word if Allemand left a suicide note, NY Daily News reported.

According to WetPaint, the official statement from Gia's rep goes:

[Gia] "passed away peacefully with her mother, boyfriend, and other life-long friends by her side. As a practicing Christian, Gia did receive the sacrament of last rites. Loved ones and fans will remember Gia Allemand as a caring woman who loved her family and was well-known for her compassion towards animals and mission to rescue homeless pets. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming in another official statement once available. On behalf of the family, we sincerely ask for privacy at this time."

After Gia was hospitalized, Ryan stayed by her side in the ICU until the very end. This clearly showed how devoted Ryan was and how he loved Gia so much. But now that she has passed away, it must be really hard for him. Despite this, Ryan acted so strong and said that Gia will be forever in his memory.

"I'm deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans," he said in a statement. "Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out, and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile. She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared."

Previously, tweets from her best friend got everyone wondering. Gia's best friend tweeted that the reality star was at a hospital and in critical condition; however, at that time, no one knew why.

"@GiaAllemand is on life support w little pulse and barely breathing ..cause unknown ..next 48 hours critical please pray for Gia everyone," tweeted Melinda Farina, a beauty expert. "I'm so sad about my best friend right now...how could this have happened to such an incredible person..she needs to come out of it!"

"Everyone I will keep you posted if I hear anything further right now it's not good-we all need to stay positive though she's tiny but strong," she added, as reported by Hollywoodlife.

Our feelings and prayers go out to her friends and family during this hard time.
