New Zealand will look to extend their reign in Pool C of the 2015 Rugby World Cup when the All Blacks face group minnow Georgia on Friday at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The defending champions are coming off a huge win over Namibia, recording nine tries for a game result of 58-14, while Georgia suffered a crushing defeat from Argentina 54-9.

New Zealand has won their first two matches in the RWC and are expected to run over Georgia in their group stage match. But despite facing a lesser opponent, the All Blacks are wary of what the Lelos could accomplish on the pitch come game time, especially Georgia’s captain Mamuka Gorgodze, the 6-foot-5 260-pound wrecking machine.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said he is set to make some changes ahead of the tough battle against Georgia. Hansen plans to swap props around to give benchwarmers Wyatt Crockett and Charlie Faumuina a chance to increase their performance levels.

"Our bench is so important to us,” Hansen told TVNZ . “And then what we wanted to look at with the props is, can we swap them round and get the same performances and the only way we can find that out is by doing it so this is the game to do that."

New Zealand left four players for their RWC pool match on Friday, which includes Colin Slade, Liam Messam, Beauden Barrett, and Ma’a Nonu, who will have to wait another week to play his 100th test match. Hansen will also start Waisake Naholo, who came back after a leg injury in just 10 weeks of recovery time.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s coach Milton Haig will rest some of his side’s frontline players for their Namibia clash. Haig explained that by resting his frontline players against New Zealand, it would give Georgia a chance of reaching the quarterfinals for the first time, and a stronger shot at finishing third in their pool to earn automatic qualification for the 2019 tournament.

"We are looking for a bit of energy to face the All Blacks and it is right to make some changes," Haig told Stuff . "It is tough telling players they are not facing New Zealand, but they have bought in to our long-term goals and understand where we are trying to get to.”
