Australian model, recording artist and actress Ruby Rose hit the set of “Pitch Perfect 3” in Atlanta on Tuesday. The 30-year-old has wrapped up promoting her new movie, “xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage,” and she is now ready to work alongside the franchise’s returning cast members Anna Kendrick (Beca) and Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), among others.

Seeing Rose on the set of “Pitch Perfect 3” is no longer a surprise for the majority of fans as she confirmed last month that she would be part of the threequel. The actress’ role in the film is still unknown, but since she can also sing, it is likely that she will be recruited as a member of the Barden Bellas.

"I actually sung in a church choir for most of my life," she said on “The Ellen Show.” She shared that she had to sing in church choir so she could live in a church parish and save on rent.

Rose has also shared in the same television appearance that she was jobless for two years in Los Angeles. Finally, the odds turned to her favour and she landed a role in a short film titled “Break Free.” Her appearance in the film has brought her to the attention of “Orange Is The New Black” producers.

In “Orange Is The New Black,” the actress plays the role of Stella Carlin, an inmate at Litchfield Penitentiary. Her character was introduced during the series’ third season."Imagine not getting any work for two years and then getting an audition for the best show in the world," she said.

Rose’s real life story is something that would inspire many. She has shared in the “The Ellen Show” that she and her dog used to sleep in a blow-up mattress from Target. “And then next thing you know, I'm on The Ellen Show. "I mean, come on. How? How does that happen?" she exclaimed.

In “xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage,” Rose plays Adele Wolff, a kick-ass sniper. To be able to play the role well, the actress had to train “seven days a week.” But it seems the gruelling training was a labour of love for Rose as she revealed that she fell in love with her co-star, Vin Diesel (Xander). “Vin has a heart of gold. He’s the most generous, giving, genuine, selfless human being that I’ve probably ever met,” she told news.com.au.

Rose also works alongside Hailee Steinfeld (Emily), Chrissie Fit (Flo), Kelly Jakle (Jessica) and Ester Dean (Cynthia Rose) in “Pitch Perfect 3.” It is expected to hit Australian theatres on Dec. 22.
