Season 2 of the new E! scripted series “The Royals” won’t be back until November but the cast members have been busy sharing photos from filming. The cast returned to the set two weeks ago and they have since been posting a steady stream of photos which give out some clues on what to expect next season. [Warning: Spoiler Alert]

When filming began in mid-June, Jake Maskall couldn’t help but gloat about his character’s newfound power and success. Maskall plays Duke Cyrus who has just recently become King of England. At the end of season 1, his older brother, King Simon died from a violent attack. With the help of the Queen, he was able to gain power by discrediting Prince Liam’s claim to the throne. Maskall tweeted:

Elizabeth Hurley, who plays Queen Helena, has been particularly active in documenting the behind-the-scenes action. In her posts, she appears to be showing that Cyrus will be spending more time on the throne than viewers would like. Throughout filming and most recently on June 29, she posted a photo of herself posing with Maskall. She referred to him as “the King.”

Hurley also teased some spoilers by showing her character in a compromising position. She shared a photo of Queen Helena lounging with King Cyrus in bed. E! Online speculates that this could indicate a major spoiler but nothing has been confirmed.

While the characters in the story want to slit each other’s throats on-screen, Hurley shared a fun moment on set and declared that they actually like each other in real life. She even posted a photo collage with her on-screen kids William Moseley and Alexandra Park. They play Prince Liam and Princess Eleanor who both loathe Queen Helena on the show. E! Online has shared a slideshow of all the behind-the-scenes photos.

“The Royals” is E! Entertainment Television Network’s first foray into a producing a scripted series. Season 2 is scheduled to start airing in November on E!.
