Rose Namajunas is just a win away from becoming just the second female champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The 22-year-old aspirant will face off with Carla Esparza in the Finale of the show, "The Ultimate Fighter (TUF)" which will culminate in a title match for the first-ever women's straw weight division.

Namajunas, who came into the show ranked just 7th, has done the improbable and dominated the competition via submissions when she is better known for her striking ability. With the combination of her fighting skills and her striking blonde beauty many are already labeling her as the next crossover star in the mold of current women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. She is not denying it and thinks it is only a matter of time before she finally rises to the pinnacle of the mixed martial arts world.

"I feel like I've been doing such a good job at such a young age and so early on in my career, I have a lot of time to really develop myself as a person and getting more experience with it," Namajunas told the press during the TUF Finale media day, Wednesday. "If it doesn't happen right now, it's definitely going to happen eventually."

Many MMA aficionados have already backed her up as the probable next big thing in the UFC world including UFC President Dana White and Rousey, herself. As far back as September, White observed that the young fighter has the potential to be the next big thing in women's MMA and even nodding to the labels of being the heir to Rousey's throne. The queen bee herself, Rousey, had a lot of adjectives for the American up-and-comer saying that Namajunas had a "unique skillset, exciting and gorgeous."

If many are hailing her as the next coming and crossover star, Namajunas' boyfriend, UFC heavyweight Pat Barry believes his girlfriend can carve out a name for her and does not need the comparisons. The former kick boxer star has devoted his time to training Namajunas when he saw the full potential that can catapult her to the top. Barry enjoys the time of mentoring his own lover and that they are both pushing each other to reach their goals.
