The reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship women's bantamweight champion was not all too buoyant with the news that her title defence against Cat Zingano was moved from January to the end of February next year. However, she says that she is looking forward to UFC 184 where she gets to strut her wares against one of the top women fighters and complete her dream of fighting at Staples Centre.

The fight was originally slated to be the co-headliner of the Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier light heavyweight championship match on Jan. 3 and was moved to Feb. 28. The Rousey-Zigano match is paired as co-headliner of the middleweight bout between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort. UFC President Dana White provided no explanation for the change in the schedule given that no formal announcement on the Jan. 3 pairing had been beforehand.

"I wasn't happy about it, " Rousey said on Monday's edition of The MMA Hour. "I just show up and fight when they tell me to show up and fight, and I show up and win, and that's it. "

It did not take too long when Rousey made a turnaround and loved the change. The 27-year-old fighter realized that it would be the first time to show her hometown Los Angeles the efforts she has made to reach to top. And to put cherry on the top, it would happen at Staples Centre, which brings back some nostalgia. Rousey recounted the days when she was still waiting tables and tending bars and would glance at the television screen and see the Los Angeles Lakers playing at Staples. She even went as far as sharing a fantasy of Luke Walton, a former Laker forward, coming to the bar, asking her out and ending her career as a waitress.

With how much she has accomplished from her cocktail waitress days, Rousey is just thankful of the blessings have come her way. She also dismissed some pundits making issue of her just being a co-headliner and once again not being billed as a main event. Rousey pointed out that she and Chris Weidman have some luck together. After being paired for the third time, she is hoping that they will again demolish their opponents much like the previous two stints.
