Ronda Rousey chatted about the diet that has fastened her reputation as one of the Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) accomplished and fit female fighters. Rousey opened up in a recent interview about her diet and how she battled with bulimia.

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo's Bobbi Brown, Rousey opened up about a number of things. Among others, Rousey shared how she suffered an eating disorder and conquered by eating right and working out the hardest. She said she struggled with bulimia, an eating disorder characterised by eating a large amount of food and then trying various ways of purging them out to avoid gaining weight. She said she also did all the crazy diets. Rousey further lamented that when she finally got the body she wanted, she only felt happy in the beginning.

Rousey said she has come to terms that what she was doing was wrong so she has taken the proper actions to get the body that she wanted.

"I box, wrestle, do jujitsu, run up sand dunes, every single day is something different so that I am mentally engaged," Rousey said when asked how she trains. She added that she doesn't follow a specific gym routine on a daily basis because she wants shock her muscles and keep her body guessing.

As for Rousey's diet plan, she revealed that she was into the Dolce Diet, a nutrition program created by former UFC fighter Mike Dolce.

"It's really hard to describe, it's not really a diet but more of a lifestyle."

Rousey said she doesn't need to starve herself because the diet plan allows her to eat three times a day and even have snacks in between. If she needs to build muscle, her food intake also changes.

"It changes to what I need at the time."

In addition to exercising and eating healthy, Rousey also tries to stay away from alcohol and junk food. If she feels the need to binge on some foods, she chooses them wisely.

"Find healthy foods that you love and stick to them."

Other UFC fighters who have been on the Dolce Diet program include Gilbert Burns, Thiago Alves, Mike Pyle, John Lineker, Gilbert Melendez, and Kelvin Gastelum.
