Ronda Rousey may adorn the cover of the upcoming swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. The speculations of Rousey appearing in the next issue of the sports magazine were fueled due to the magazine editor’s recent Instagram post.

“#instabooty if #2016 keeps going like this then I'm going to be one happy happy girl! #bootypaint #siswimsuit,” reads the post by the editor, MJ Day. A tattoo can be seen near the wrist of the woman flaunting her derrière in the Instagram post. The body art is similar to the one that Rousey sports, thus indicating that her fans will get to see the UFC sensation on the magazine.

Mixed martial arts champion Rousey will be seen in a sensuous avatar as she will be seen covered only in body paint for the annual swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated, Mashable reports.

In addition to the post, Sports Illustrated’s official website also featured an article with the headline, "Who's that girl? SI Swimsuit 2016 snap may reveal Ronda Rousey in body paint." The article further reads, "We can neither confirm nor deny these rumors, but isn't the idea of Ronda donning nothing but paint enough to tie you over until the issue comes out in February?"

Apart from the upcoming edition, Rousey was also seen in a traditional attire in the previous issue of the magazine.

Moving on to the MMA champion’s career, Rousey received a major blow a few months back when she was knocked out by Holly Holm in the second round of a 135-pound championship fight on Nov. 14, 2015. This marked Rousey’s first loss, and she is now gearing up to take her revenge in the UFC bantamweight championship.

The magazine's issue may also mark Rousey’s return in the glam world as she has been out of the public eye after her loss to Holm. Meanwhile, Rousey is set to host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23.
