Real Madrid and AS Roma made a misnomer out of the term "preseason friendly" after Seydou Keita threw a water bottle at Pepe, as the latter had allegedly spat on him.

The former FC Barcelona man refused to shake hands with the Los Blancos centre-back before proceedings commenced at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, which may have led to Pepe's version of retaliation.

Keita and the Portugal international have their share of bad blood, with the latter being accused of calling the Malian playmaker monkey in 2011.

Fans weren't too amused with the former Porto standout's antics, drawing negative reactions on social media.

So Pepe that disgusting excuse for a human being did spit at Keita. Last retweet shows it.Wonder if Madrid fans will still defend that
