A new TV spot of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has been released online. After a lot of speculation of will he? Won’t he? about a classic villain from the original trilogy, the new trailer seeming confirms his return.

[Spoiler alert]

The new TV spot has Darth Vader (Voice by James Earl Jones) breathing instead of background music. The fast paced trailer shows some of the big action sequences that are featured in the film.

However, one particular scene that immediately caught the attention of the fans is the back shot of an older man looking at the Death Star. The unmistakable thin frame of the man and the grey uniform confirm that this is Grand Moff Tarkin, the main villain in “A New hope.”

Grand Moff Tarkin has been involved in the Death Star project for a long time and was even seen in the prequel trilogy, when the orbital battle station was still being built. Now that the weapon is being prepared for testing; the old villain will be involved.

Readers should note that the main villain in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is still Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn). The character was in charge of the nitty-gritty of the project, while Tarkin may have been just supervising the development as a whole.

Tarkin’s appearance may be very brief in the film. The character was portrayed by Peter Cushing in “A New Hope.” The producers could have used CGI to recreate the look of the character in the Gareth Edwards film, Telegraph reports.

The addition of Tarkin in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” takes the number of villains in the film to three. The new TV spot also teased a few scenes of Darth Vader, which the fans have already seen in other, previously released, trailers.
