A new video of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has been released online. It is a behind-the-scenes video, but it also contains some more footage from the upcoming movie. Meanwhile, Director Gareth Edwards has revealed in a recent interview that there is an interesting Easter egg to watch out for in the film.

[Spoiler alert]

The video begins with the director showing a Rebel base in the film and interacting with some of the actors there. Edwards, who is a passionate fan, said that if he knew he was going to helm a movie in the franchise he would have planned it all his life.

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ plot: The Rebels’ plan

The behind-the-scenes footage and the scenes from the film featured in the video reveal that the plan of the Rebels is to infiltrate a base of the Empire or the Death Star itself to try and steal the plans. Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) will go as an Imperial officer, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) will be an Imperial Gunner and K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) won’t need any disguise.

The directed pointed out that the film’s timeline is very close to “A New hope.” So, the sets and the costumes had to match the original trilogy. The producers also had to look at the opening crawl of the 1977 film in order to pick up elements of the story. The fans can therefore expect to see Rebels as spies.

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’: Easter egg

George Lucas got a tour on the set, Edwards told Total Film magazine. Lucas apparently liked a helmet that was lying around. This helmet was apparently supposed to be in the film initially, but the director couldn’t find a place to put it in, Games Radar reports. But, when Lucas said he liked it, they had to find a way to fit it somewhere.

So, the Easter egg to look out for in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is this interesting helmet that everyone likes, including Lucas. Edwards, however, did not give out any details about the helmet. He may speak about it once the film is released.
