The infamous villain Darth Vader will be appearing in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” Stunt actor Spencer Wilding will reportedly play the dark lord of the Sith in the forthcoming movie and it is said to be a speaking role.

According to a report by Flickering Myth, a source familiar with the developments of the movie has revealed that the British actor Wilding has been cast to play the Sith lord. The actor is known for his stunts in popular Hollywood movies like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Wrath of the Titans,” “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” and “Batman Begins.”

There had been rumours that Hayden Christensen would be reprising his role in the forthcoming movie. However, Christensen will not be playing the role of Darth Vader. The actor played the role of the Sith lord in the prequel movies, which told the story of how the character turned to the dark side.

Darth Vader will be seen with his mask on in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” This means that there will be a voice actor whose dialogues will be added into the scene after the scenes are filmed. James Earl Jones is said to be the voice actor for the Sith lord in the movie.

The plot of the movie revolves around a team from the Rebellion attempting to steal the plans for the Empire’s super weapon called the Death Star. The Empire has just finished building the weapon in the movie and is making preparations to test it soon.

A team led by Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) will try to steal the plans for the Death Star, in order to find some weakness in its design. It is not clear if the Emperor will make an appearance in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” along with Darth Vader.
