Roger Federer's wife Mirka is dragged in the middle of a tennis feud between the 17-time Grand Slam champion and his compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka. The alleged heated argument between Roger and Stan took place after the semifinals match on November 15. Reports say that Stan had been bothered by Mirka's audible comments during the match.

After Roger defeated Stan in the semifinals 4-6 7-5 7-6 (8-6), they reportedly went to the locker room. Sources said that they had a long discussion that lasted about 10 minutes. According to The Telegraph Sport, the post-match argument originated from Mirka's alleged heckling during the semifinals match that led to the raucous dispute between Roger and Stan in the locker room.

Stan reportedly was irked by Mirka's audible comments. French television station reportedly picked up an audio when the 2014 Australian Open champion was heard saying "she did the same thing at Wimbledon."

Tennis legend John McEnroe has also attested that Roger and Stan indeed had a little argument post-semifinals match. However, McEnroe seemed oblivious of the degree to which the spat has escalated.

"Afterwards something went on in the locker room, there was a long talk between the players that extended well into the night," McEnroe said via the Daily Mirror. "And the stress of that, I can't confirmed all of this, but a lot of this went on and I don't think that helped that situation."

It is not clear whether or not the locker room row between Roger and Stan had been the reason why the Swiss great pulled out of his finals' match against Novak Djokovic on November 16. Roger addressed the O2 crowd that he sustained a back spasm during the exhausting semifinals match against Stan. He said that he didn't want to play at anything less than 100 percent condition. He didn't want to risk it ahead of the Davis Cup final.

On Nov. 18, Roger posted a picture with the Swiss team on Twitter. "It's great being with the boys again, and #captain #luthi," Roger tweeted. Stan, who also retweeted the picture, was holding up two fingers behind Roger's head.

Roger and Stan have not yet commented on the story. The pair will be playing for Switzerland against France in the Davis Cup final.
