After slipping to fourth place in the tennis rankings and nursing an injury from one of his previous matches, Roger Federer is making a comeback, starting with home court competitions before vying for international titles.

He will start competing by the end of the month to keep his tennis dream alive. The 30-year-old Swiss tennis player said in an interview for the France's L'Equipe magazine that he is aiming for the gold medal in the London Games next year.

Despite living a very public life for being one of the sought-after tennis players, there are still some things that remain hidden about Roger Federer.

Last year, Us Weekly revealed a list of what you do not know about Roger Federer from his favorite animal to his shoe size.

Some of the things that you do not know about Roger Federer from the Us Weekly are:

* I wear a size-12 shoe.

* I can eat fondue all day long.

* My favorite drink is sparkling water.

* I'm scared of roller coasters.

* I love driving on the Autobahn.

* I miss taking public transportation.

* My secret vice is milk chocolate Lindor truffles.

* I am not superstitious.

The Davis Cup itself and an Olympic Gold in singles competition have been the greatest frustration of the tennis player. 2012 is the perfect time to achieve those goals.

In his interview with L'Equipe, he made this ambition abundantly clear. "The gold medal in the London Olympics, at Wimbledon. That gold medal, I still don't have it, but Olympic gold has always represented something special to me," he said.

He also made it clear, however, that his ambitions are not bound only by the Olympics: "I'm looking forward to what's coming next. There are still important goals for me, starting with my hometown tournament in Basel, the London Masters...and I imagine I'll be very hungry at the next Australian Open."

He is, in fact, aiming to schedule a fine line between a variety of short-term and long-term goals. It seems that Roger Federer is really back with a vengeance and ready to take on the challenge of tennis and life.
