“Rock School’s” Lil’ Chris has tragically passed away at age 24, after Suffolk Police confirmed Monday morning his sudden death, which has no specific cause as of the moment. Family, friends and fans have taken to Twitter to express their grief and offer condolences for their fallen mate.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson has confirmed Christopher James Hardman’s death after the police were called to an address in Union Road, Lowestoft. They said they were not treating the death as suspicious, adding in a statement, "Officers received a call on Monday, 23rd March, at about 11.45 a.m. following the death of a 24-year-old man. A postmortem examination is to take place in due course and an inquest will be opened," as quoted by Mirror.

While the cause of the TV personality’s death has not yet been confirmed, people have started paying their tributes on social media since the news came out. Chris' mother Karen Hardman shared a number of pictures of the singer-songwriter on Facebook, reminiscing his moments, while a flood of condolences came rushing in.

Several music and television personalities have also expressed their sorrow over the sudden news on their Twitter accounts. Lloyd Wilkinson, a friend Chris had recorded a single with, shared that he feels “completely devastated” by the death of his “brother bear.” Harry Judd from “McBusted” also tweeted that he is "shocked and saddened" by the news, saying that Chris was an “awesome guy” who supported him back when he was in “McFly,” during the pop-punk group’s “Up Close and Personal” tour, The Guardian stated.

Coinciding with the time of Chris’ death was his tweet earlier this month admitting that he was considering giving up his career as a singer, saying that it was time to face the reality that he was not “good enough.” He also previously opened up about suffering from depression in two separate tweets last year, saying how the illness “really sucks” and that he hopes to create a way out of it that didn’t involve taking his own life. He also encouraged his followers to “take time to understand it.” His last tweet to his 25.5k followers on March 18 read: “Good morning everybody! Lovely day! Love you all x."

Suffolk-born star Chris rose to fame in 2006 when he was just 15 year years old, appearing in series two of Channel 4’s reality show “Rock School,” in which Gene Simmons from band “Kiss” recruited students from Kirkley High School (now known as East Point Academy) to form a rock band. His debut single “Checkin’ It Out” released by major label RCA in September 2006 reached No. 3 in the charts after its release. He went on to release a self-titled debut album in December of the same year, and his “What’s It All About” album in October 2008. He also starred in other TV shows such as “Celebrity Scissorhands” and “The Weakest Link,” and had his own show entitled “Everybody Loves Lil’ Chris.” He also appeared in “Loserville: The Musical” on the West Yorkshire Playhouse stage in Leeds, Mashable stated.
