Robinson Cano made a successful return in the Yankees Stadium, as he drove one run to help the Seattle Mariners take a 6-3 win over the NY Yankees on Tuesday.

Boos rained on Cano in his first trip in the Bronx. Cano, who left the Yankees to sign a colossal 10-year deal with the Mariners, recorded an RBI after driving catcher Mike Zunino to home plate with a grounder in the fifth inning. Cano's hit sparked four runs in the fifth inning for the Mariners, who added two more in the seventh to seal the deal.

Left fielders Brett Gardner and Ichiro Suzuki each recorded an RBI for the Yankees, who dropped to 8-5 at home and 15-11 in the season. The Mariners, on the other hand, improved their record to 6-8 on the road and 11-14 in the season. Game 2 of the three-game series is set on Wednesday.
