Robert Pattinson has another interesting project on his platter.

Robert Pattinson will team up with Dane DeHaan for the movie "Life," based on the real-life friendship between film star James Dean (will be played by DeHaan) and Dennis Stock (Life magazine photographerwill be played by Robert Pattinson).

Pattinson will play Dennis Stock, the young photographer working for the Magnum agency when he got the assignment of a lifetime: to shoot James Dean. The movie is to be directed by Anton Corbijn.

According to E! News. The movie, "Life", will focus on the road trip around the US the James Dean and Dennis Stock took for that shoot and the impact it had on both their lives.

Twilight star has a huge teen fan base, the looks and talent to embody the character of Dennis Stock. Pattinson is a perfect fit to star as James Dean (the life of the actor who died young, stayed pretty and more than anyone else helped define what it means to be a teenager) in biopic movie.

The film will be directed by Anton Corbijn, The producers are Sydney-based Emile Sherman and London-based Iain Canning, whose See-Saw Films produced:

  • Jane Campion's TV seriesTop of the Lake
  • Tracks, the film adaptation of Robyn Davidson's memoir of her 1977 trek across the Australian desert

Dennis Stock was ''26, old before his time, and already tied down to family life'' when he met James Dean, whose fame was built on the back of starring roles in Rebel Without a Cause, East of Eden (both 1955) and Giant(1956) before his death in a car accident at 24. The road trip the pair took together ''would change Stock's life and provide the world with some of the most iconic images of the age''.

The producers said ''finding the right actor to play James Dean was a big responsibility, but Dane's body of work has proved what a chameleon he is and what he will contribute to the role. Casting Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan brings together two of the most exciting young actors of their generation" According to a statement from See-Saw Productions.

The Hollywood Reporter claims the budget of the movie is in the $10-$15 million range. Shooting will begin next February 2014 in Canada.
