Even hot male Hollywood stars can suffer from major wardrobe malfunction. Robert Downey, Jr., was all smiles and getting goofy at the premiere of the third installment of box-office hit, Iron Man, in South Korea.

Little did he know that everything seemed to fall into place at the film’s opening night overseas - - and his birthday celebration - - except for one thing: his fly was open!

The 48-year-old, Mr. Comeback King greeted South Korean fans, who was not deterred amidst war threats from the North, and the actor even got playful posing like his character Iron Man.

Perhaps all the excitement had left Downey forgetting to zip his fly, leaving him in an awkward moment, while showbiz cameras just snapped away.

The actor had a good time and so did his adoring fans. Thousands of fans gathered at the Seoul City airport and at the red carpet and they presented Robert and other cast members not only with banners but also some welcome gifts.

In response to the warm welcome, Robert gamely danced Gangnam style for his teen fans. Still wondering what they were screaming for? Could it be his dance? Or could it still be his fly?

South Korea is increasingly becoming a good market for U.S. action films. The Iron Man production film group had joined other Hollywood franchises in recognition of its contribution to the U.S. box-office.

Iron Man 3 will formally open in Seoul on April 25, scheduled one week ahead of the film’s release in the U.S.

Speaking with local journalists invited at the soft-premiere in Seoul, Robert expressed mixed feelings for the success of Iron Man, the story of a selfish bionic millionaire who turned hero as he embarked on different adventures to save the world.

"Five years ago, I had really no idea whether it was going to be embraced by the public or not," Robert was quoted as saying by The Daily Mail. He added: "I find myself looking at this poster and still sometimes wondering how this would happen. So my relationship over the years has become one of, a kind of increasing humility and a lot of gratitude."
