'Riverdale' season 1 finale spoilers: One more death possible after Jason Blossom murder revelation
"Riverdale" is set to wrap up its first season on May 11 with the finale expected to prepare weird mysteries for next season. The Jason Blossom murderer has been revealed but there is growing belief that another main character could be killed off.
Will another “Riverdale” character bite the dust?
The idea of seeing another "Riverdale" character being killed was suggested via the Riverdale Fans Facebook page and something that made sense. The finale is expected to revolve around the turn of events for episode 12, “Anatomy of a Murder,” which made it look like the case was closed after “Cliff Blossom’s” (Barclay Hope) suicide. But the real question is whether Cliff did hang himself in the barn.
The trailer apparently showed the police skimming through the crime scene and the barn was not purely barrels of maple syrup. Drugs were found meaning Cliff may have been involved in some drug trade. The Southside Serpent angle is still in play with FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich) and Joaquin (Rob Raco) the only ones known.
If there is one more to be killed it could be either. If it is based on the relevance of “Riverdale” or Archie Comics characters, the likely casualty would be Joaquin. But then again, there are some characters in the main cast that most did not find in the comics.
Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch), Penelope Blossom (Nathalie Bolt) and Kevin Keller (Casey Scott) are the new insertions so they could be in play too. Based on the importance of their appearance in the series, Penelope Blossom could make more sense.
A picture paints a million words
“Riverdale” chapter 13 titled “The Sweet Hereafter” airs on May 11 and finale photos have been revealed courtesy of CW. In a previous post, it was revealed that Archie (KJ Apa) suffered a broken hand during the season finale. The trailer for the upcoming episode showed Archie hitting at something (the ground?) and that could possibly be tied up to the injury.
But the question now is why Archie got enraged? The picture also showed Veronica (Camila Mendes), Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) in the background, a scene which hints at a startling revelation. Could it be tied to his father Fred Andrews (Luke Perry)?
The description of the episode mentions Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nichols) making an offer to Fred that seems too good to be true. It could be a business proposition seeing how Fred has been struggling with his business undertaking.
This proposition could be tied up to the alleged coming of Hiram Lodge with some strings attached. But what could lead Archie to go ballistic? Don’t miss the “Riverdale” season 1 finale happening on May 11 via Netflix Australia.
