Australia may have ranked 10th in the final medal tally for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil but Aussie athletes did not only brought home medals. They also made history after breaking a few Guinness World records.

According to Guinness, Australia’s John Millman made the “first ‘double-bagel’ victory in Olympic tennis history’ after he won the match 6-0, 6-0 against Lithuana’s Richard Berankis on Aug. 6.

Considered as Australia’s third top male tennis player, Millman recently competed for the US Open in New York.

Meanwhile, swimmers Cate Campbell, Bronte Campbell, Emma McKeon and Brittany Elmslie of the women’s relay team broke Australia’s own record of the fastest swimming 4 x 100 metre with a time of 3 minutes and 33.15 seconds on Aug. 6.

At the end of the 2016 Olympic Games, the Australian Olympic Team won 29 medals from Rio de Janeiro. The team of 422 Aussie athletes managed to bring home eight gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze medals for competing across 26 sporting events.
