The release date for Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim" may have been shuffled a few times, but it is finally here, and so are Japanese star Rinko Kikuchi's fierce red carpet outfits!

The road to "Pacific Rim's" big Hollywood premiere on July 9, started with red carpet events in Mexico City and London. On July 2, the "Babel" actress looked fresh-faced in a standout gown by Marios Schwab. Never one to reach for conventional red carpet fare, Rinko chose a two-in-one sort of dress. Barely-there illusion netting covered her neckline and the back of her arms. The rest of the dress - long sleeves, fitted bodice, skirt, and hem came in a rich eggplant. A waist-high slit revealed more of that delicate sheer material. Rinko's exquisite finishing touch was a gold, jeweled choker that framed her face beautifully.

At the "Pacific Rim" London Premiere, Rinko Kikuchi displayed more of that unusual red carpet style. With her hair sharply styled, the 32-year-old Oscar nominee served a dark and mysterious look. She wore a Chanel Fall 2013 mini dress and metallic cap-toe Chanel pumps. The black number came in a stiff, trapeze silhouette. Black coils covered the dress' length, including its dramatic, high collar. But it wasn't all gloom and doom for "Pacific Rim's" Mako Mori as she lightened things up with a swipe of pink lipstick.

Rinko saved her best look yet for the "Pacific Rim" Hollywood premiere on July 9. She slipped into a high-neck, black, sleeveless column. In typical Rinko fashion, her Fausto Puglisi dress was no ordinary outfit. Elaborate jeweled accents lit up her entire dress, while hip-high slits on either side showed off her legs. Rinko wisely kept her hair and makeup simple, save rich red lips.

With this red carpet wardrobe, Rinko Kikuchi is definitely one to watch.
