Barbadian singer and songwriter Rihanna announced on Friday that she was collaborating with Manolo Blahnik in a limited edition shoe collection that’s set to be out in stores on May 5.

Called ‘Denim Desserts’, RiRi’s partnership with the king of heels will see six exclusive pairs of shoes released, each featuring classic Manolo tenets but also an undeniable subversive street style. The shoes are -- as the name of the collection aptly suggests -- denim, the 28-year-old “Work” singer’s choice of fabric.

The line is also super exclusive. Ranging from US$895 to US$3,995, the capsule collection will only be released in Manolo Blahnik’s Hong Kong, London, and New York flagships. Plus, only 45 of the collection’s thigh-high boot decorated with crystal trim will be made.

"This is an incredibly exciting collaboration, I am absolutely thrilled with the result – I think everyone is going to love it," said Manolo Blahnik via Twitter.

The Denim Desserts collab is not Rihanna’s first foray into shoe designing. Her latest partnership with Puma in fact helped skyrocket the sportswear giant’s 2015 fourth quarter earnings to US$975 million.

But it seems fame and all, Rihanna’s still excited about designing her own shoes.

“The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes...I am sorry for that woman, because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’," Rihanna said to British Vogue. "I’m going to have a moment!”
